April FUN-Raisers for Revolution Books / Libros Revolucion

Standing ovations and rave reviews for Devil's Advocate, by Donald Freed | Directed by Jose Luis Valenzuela | Produced by The Latino Theater CompanyDevil's Advocate is the story of the capture and breaking of the Panamanian strong man Manuel Noriega by the Vatican's "Devil's Advocate" Archbishop Jose Sebastian Laboa. Their titanic struggle to the end of the night is based on an astonishing true story.  Tickets are $10 on Thursdays; we ask your donation of $5 to $100 extra for the bookstore.  Contact Revolution Books to join our group.

MIRAL - Is This the Face of a Terrorist?  
Miral, starring Frieda Pinto (from Slumdog Millionaire) starts in 1947 with the unjust UN mandated partition of Palestine and traces through the lives of 3 generations of Palestinian women-their oppression and their struggles.  
At the Laemmle's Playhouse 7 in Pasadena, 673 East Colorado Blvd.  Contact us to go in a group, or get tickets, $11, plus we ask a donation of $5 to $100 for the bookstore.

Thurs., April 21st, 8 PM - "A Weekend with Picasso" at Los Angeles Theatre Center, 514 S. Spring St. in downtown LA 90014*
by Herbert Siguenza | Directed by Todd Salovey | Produced by The Latino Theater Company "Siguenza was born to play Picasso!" Acclaimed actor-writer Herbert Siguenza (of Culture Clash) returns to Los Angeles with his first one man show.  Siguenza brings his virtuosic writing, acting and painting skills into Picasso's private studio, "Le Californie" on the coast of France in 1957 for an intimate and revealing weekend into the creative mind and work of one of the most inspiring artists of modern history.  Picasso's controversial and flamboyant opinions and creations gripped the public imagination and forever changed 20th century art history.  Tickets are $10 on Thursdays; we ask your donation of $5 to $100 extra for the bookstore.  Contact Revolution Books to join our group.

* Where do The LATC patrons park?
In addition to the metered street parking surrounding The LATC on Spring Street, 6th Street and Main Street, secured parking is available in five private facilities just south and east of LATC. Parking charges are on average about $4 - $7 per car.
